Identity Thief

Creative stories admin

Murder, stealing, and identity theft are what Detective Harold McMurpy investigates. Harold McMurpy is the top-notch detective in England. He was descended from Sherlock Holmes.  Sherlock Holmes was also the best detective in England.

Later this very week a mysterious letter arrived at detective McMurpy residence of Baker’s Avenue. It said our Lady Elizabeth was in trouble. Harold arrived at the castle with his assistant Arnold Swartz. They arrived to interview Lady Elizabeth.  It seems that an intruder arrived and stole her priceless items. These items included her late husband’s urn, her ring, her credit card, and her necklace. Harold asked her questions like,   “how did you know the intruder came in.” She said, “ the alarm rang off and the maid saw the black suited thief walking away.”

When she talked to the maid about what happened at the incident, the ransom came. The ransom came with a fine of  $5000 dollars. Lady Elizabeth found her social security number stolen. Harold and Arnold patrolled the mansion everyday and night.  One day when Arnold was patrolling the north side of the mansion, someone shot him in the leg. Harold quickly ran as fast as possible. He got Arnold to the hospital. After Arnold had recovered.  He was still at the hospital for a check up.  Harold asked questions like, “what does the thief look like.”

Arnold replied, “The Thief had a goatee, bald head, and a gun in hand.” Harold went and sat at his normal desk at Baker’s Avenue going over the evidence. Harold went back to Lady Elizabeth’s residence and found more than one hair samples. He went to Scotland Yards to get the hair identified, but it turned out to be Arnold’s own hair.

A month later, a strange package arrived at Baker’s avenue. Harold examined the package of candy and old newspapers. The sender wrote, “ I know you from the past.” Harold thought while looking through old photographs. Then a familiar knock came at the door. It was Arnold back from the hospital. Arnold asked in a horse tone, “ Harold, I want to tell you that the theft and murder is from a gang.” “The gang wants money, they want to steal from the heir of Queen Elizabeth.”

Then Harold rushed out the door and ran to Lady Elizabeth’s residence again. He asked Lady Elizabeth if she knew any English gangs. Lady Elizabeth said, “ Yes the only one I know is called the Los Bandits de la Muertos.”

Harold said, “ are their hideouts or where do they meet normally.”

Elizabeth’s expression told Harold that she didn’t know. Harold took the train to Scotland yards to ask about the profile of the Los Bandits des la Muertos. Scotland Yards gave them information like they hang out in London and Scotland. Key information was that their leader was a bald guy with goatee named Samuel Cardenas. He than thought the authorities could watch every night in Scotland and London for Samuel Cardenas. Harold asked the authorities of London and Scotland, but they said no because it will cause too much money for more work.

Months went by and Lady Elizabeth lost all her identifications to Samuel Cardenas. Lady Elizabeth told Arnold and Harold that she went to the bank and her debt card was stuck. So another guy inserted a transparent card inside. She got her debt card back, but the card numbers disappeared. She asked the banker why it disappeared, but they thought she was a theft. Arnold and Harold than rescued her from jail. Arnold questioned her and said, “ We will hire secure you where ever you go.”  She went to the Bank another time and found there wasn’t any money left. Harold was then clueless about what happened.

Arnold and Harold both brought handguns to sting the thief. Arnold guarded the outside of the mansion, while Harold guarded the inside to protect Lady Elizabeth.  Arnold spotted a hooded figure heading toward the back door. Harold turned on the surveillance camera at the back door. As the thief moved closer, Harold trapped the thief with a steel cage. Another gang member went in and kidnapped Lady Elizabeth. Harold tried to save her, but the other gang members surrounded him and Arnold. Police Officer Jon O’Brien arrived as soon as possible. He and his crew worked day and night interviewing witnesses. He collected evidence like fingerprints and hair samples. He said that it would take him at least four months to find Lady Elizabeth. As time got closer he called American force, the CIA. The CIA went and immediately got everything in two hours. They worked so fast that when another ransom came they just listened and asked for the meeting place. They asked for a ransom of 1,000,000 dollars. They went and took money from their secret ransom account to save Lady Elizabeth.  As they found the address they found out there was a bomb in the building. CIA agents traced the call again and have FBI and Scotland Yards to help. By the following week they caught all members except the leader. The leader had Lady Elizabeth until the fair lady escaped and helped capture the leader. They recovered the precious items, her money, her debt card, and her social security cards.  As the investigation was done Lady Elizabeth paid CIA, FBI, and Scotland Yards. She awarded Harold and Arnold medals for their contributions as well.

“That’s the end of that children,” compiled Harold McMurpy as he was telling his grandchildren’s his greatest investigation. As Harold’s son and daughter picked up their children from Baker’s Avenue. Both his son and daughter are detectives and they are also known as Sherlock and Shirley McMurpy. Their investigations are around the seven continents. As he has told people everywhere he has finished detective’s work at long last.
