National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007)As a crtic , it is easy for most times.Except in rare occasions where sometimes you must concider what the first movie was.
National Treasure(The first) was one of Disney's masterpiece after Pirates of the Caribbean. National Treasure has showed originality, good acting, and good scenes. National Treasure features Ben Gates(Nicolas Cates) who has stoled the Declaration of Independence and is finding the gold that was buried underneath a church in Wall Street, New York. This movie was better than the sequel because Book of secrets has the same story. The story in Book of Secrets and National Treasure is not realistic eneough.
National Treasure Book of Secrets is a story that shows Ben Gates trying to protect his family's name becuse his great-great grandfather , Thomas Gates, was found guilty of trying to kill Abraham Lincoln.
At the begining it showed the scene where Thomas Gates and his son charles deciphering a puzzle. Then later they met two confedertes that were plotting to kill Lincoln. One of them was John Wilkes Booth. They wanted Thomas Gates to decipher a message that was sent by Queen Victoria. Queen Victoria in her letter said everything about the gold city. This gold city was one of the greatest native american treasures. She in her letter gave the confederates clues on how to find it. Then in the book of secrets where Ben later finds Calvin Cooliage wrote that Queen Victoria was helping the confederates. That was the prove to prove Thomas Gates' innocence.
Patrick Gates(Ben's Father) knew that Thomas was innocent because Charles(Patrick's grandfather)told everything that happened that night to his grandson and even showed what Thomas did at his last moment after being shot.
Ben was later accomplainied by Raily, his girlfriend, and the president that supported him only if he looked at page forty-seven of the Book of Secrets that only the President can look at.
All of that was only a portion of the excitment in National Treasure Book of Secrets. Ecven though it did not have a strong story.
